Unsquare Dance by David Hinchliffe

David trained as a Fine Artist at Manchester College of Art before completing a Master’s Degree at the Royal College of Art. He built a distinguished career in art and design education, teaching in Secondary schools. And later working as an adviser for local authorities and National education bodies. His contribution to education was recognised with an O.B.E for services to education.

Working full-time as an artist for the last 16 years, David’s practice is deeply rooted in observation, interpretation and memory, inspired largely by the local environment. His work explores landscape and place through drawings, gathered references and personal experience, these often become larger paintings developed in the studio.
