Exhibition Dates: August 15th – October 10th
Opening Night: August 15th from 17:30
Location: Pimlico Gallery, London Contemporary Art

London Contemporary Art is proud to present “Face to Face,” an exhibition that
delves into the depths of portraiture, showcasing the work of eight distinctive
artists: Nicole Menegaldo, Ryan O’Donoghue, Oliver Tanay, Luis Morris, Sara
Ingleby-Mackenzie, Julia Whitehead, Camille Dupont, and Bill Bate. This
collection traverses a wide array of styles, from realistic renderings to the
expressive power of semi-abstract forms, each piece inviting viewers to engage
intimately with the human figure.
“Face to Face” is more than a collection of portraits; it is a celebration of the
human form, and the stories etched into every line, shadow, and expression.
Whether through O’Donoghue’s meticulous photographic work or Tanay’s bold
ceramics, the exhibition captures the diversity and complexity of the human
experience, offering a mirror to the emotions and identities that shape us.
As you walk through the Pimlico Gallery, each portrait will draw you into a
conversation with the subject, offering a glimpse into their lives, their emotions,

A SOLO EXHIBITION BY DAVID HINCHLIFFE

POSTPONED

May 25th – June 25th 2024

On Saturday 25th David will be hosting a live painting demonstration at 1pm.

This show will feature the very best of David’s work. David say’s “My recent work deals with the urban environment… around the world as well as an abiding affinity with the Australian landscape. [My work] is a response to light – I like the movement of light across a surface, whether it’s a valley, a river, a street or the human form. I particularly enjoy the shapes, the noise and the shadows of city landscapes whether it’s the drama of lower East Side in New York, the reflections in the canals of Venice, the romance of Paris… or the treed streets near my home… and studio in Fortitude Valley Australia.”

We are proud to represent her and hope you will join us to view Julia’s new portfolio, as well as support your new Pimlico Gallery.

Intimate Crowds

“We are familiar with the scenes of busy, crowded streets but don’t always see them from a different perspective or remove ourselves from the crowd to be able to stand and watch. The shapes, colours, shadows and dynamics of moving bodies whether seen individually or as a group, provide a never ending source of inspiration to me as an artist.”
